CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR CHILDREN

We encourage your children to worship with us. Our Lord Jesus has a special place in His heart for children, and so do we! You will find children's bulletins, books and crayons on a table at the entrance of the church. Your children are free to get up whenever you agree to allow them to. We know kids sometimes make a little noise, but we believe they learn something very special by worshipping alongside their parents. We also know that sometimes they can be restless and so a very clean and well-equipped nursery may be found downstairs.

GODLY PLAY

Godly Play is a Montessori style curriculum for our children in Kindergarten through Grade 2.  We hope to nurture each child to know, love and serve God by gathering them together, sharing a story, providing time to “work” independently and closing by gathering them together again to share a “feast” and say goodbye.

WALK WITH ME

Walk With Me is our Sunday School curriculum for our children in grades 3 through 6.  Our vision is to nurture each child to know, love and serve God by teaching scripture and biblical truth and helping each child to apply it to their everyday life.  In doing so we hope that the children experience God and God’s love for them

Janine, our paid childcare professional,

and the youngest children enjoy the autumn weather.

The Christian education facilities are in the lower level of Naumann Hall, the wing which faces the woods.  This area, which is accessible by stairs and an elevator, has restrooms, a nursery, a children’s chapel section, classrooms, a kitchenette, and an office. The Sunday School area is decorated with an outdoor theme, called God’s Back Yard.
